Formal evenings such as the Captain's Welcome Dinner, are a gala affair where ladies may choose to wear evening dress and gentlemen dinner jacket with black tie, or a dark suit.

Most evenings are less formal, with pants suits or dresses appropriate for women, jackets and blazers - with or without tie - for men. On some days, after a busy tour ashore for example, more casual attire is recommended.
